Blackout is celebrating its 32nd birthday, and that can only mean one thing — a hip-hop spectacle Zagreb rarely gets to see! Two true titans of global rap production are hitting the Boogaloo stage: DJ Premier and The Alchemist, as part of the worldwide tour “He’s The Preemo, I’m The Chemist.
DJ Premier, a legend of the boom bap sound, is already a cult figure on the Zagreb scene, while The Alchemist is arriving in front of the local audience for the very first time — with the reputation of being one of the most sought-after producers of today. Together, they bring a unique fusion of gritty drums, sample wizardry, and hip-hop history told through beats.
This concert also marks an impressive 32 years of Blackout, the longest-running hip-hop platform in the region and one of the key forces behind the rise of rap culture here. After exhibitions, books, releases, and an impressive lineup of live guest performances, Blackout is wrapping up the year in the loudest way — with two hip-hop masters whose sound has shaped generations.
