On December 23rd, 2025, Zagreb will become the center of an extraordinary musical celebration. In honor of the 200th anniversary of Johann Strauss’s birth, the original Strauss Capelle Vienna will perform in Croatia for the very first time, appearing live at Arena Zagreb. This concert and multimedia program, titled Strauss Christmas Gala, will open the festive season with world-class musicians, immersive visual elements, and a repertoire that shaped the history of European classical music.
The concert features performances of Strauss’s most famous works, including The Blue Danube, The Emperor Waltz, The Radetzky March, as well as arias from renowned operettas. The program is designed as a musical journey enriched with elements of ballet, opera, visual projections, and interactive components that bring audiences closer to the story of Viennese tradition and the origins of the waltz. A unique highlight of this performance is the appearance of a digital avatar of Johann Strauss II, merging historical heritage with modern technology.
