From September 13 to 21, 2025, the Croatian capital will host one of the biggest sporting events of the year – the World Wrestling Championship. Thousands of athletes, coaches, officials, and fans from more than 100 countries will gather in Zagreb to witness the world’s best wrestlers compete in Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women’s wrestling.
The competition will be held at Arena Zagreb, Croatia’s largest and most beautiful indoor venue, which will become the global center of wrestling this September.
The official opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, featuring a performance by one of the region’s most popular music artists – sure to thrill both younger and older audiences alike.
